Agents Giving Summer Ball 2026
The grandeur of Coombe Abbey Hotel in Warwickshire set the perfect backdrop for a truly special evening this summer. Agents Giving, the official charity for the property industry, hosted its highly anticipated Summer Ball 2026, bringing together industry leaders, fundraisers, and community champions for an unforgettable night of celebration. The event honoured exceptional fundraising achievements through a sophisticated dinner dance and awards ceremony, recognising those who have gone above and beyond to make a difference in their communities.
Recognition for Outstanding Community Work
Among the evening’s highlights was a particularly meaningful moment for The Greenaway Foundation. Darren Greenaway, founder of the charity, received an outstanding award in recognition of his exceptional community work and tireless fundraising efforts. This prestigious acknowledgement from Agents Giving holds special significance, representing peer recognition from within the property industry that Darren has been part of for nearly thirty five years.
The Agents Giving award celebrates not just Darren’s individual dedication, but the transformative impact The Greenaway Foundation has achieved across the Southeast. His commitment to supporting families who fall through the gaps of formal aid has created a lifeline for countless households facing financial hardship. From providing essential food parcels and clothing to ensuring children don’t miss out on education supplies and the magic of Christmas, Darren’s vision has mobilised an entire community to support those most in need across Sussex, Surrey, and Kent.
Building on Last Year's Christmas Magic
The timing of the Agents Giving award couldn’t be more perfect. July marks a pivotal moment in The Greenaway Foundation’s calendar, the month when attention turns firmly toward planning the Christmas campaign. This year’s award serves as both recognition of past achievements and inspiration for the ambitious goals ahead.
Last year’s Christmas campaign was nothing short of extraordinary. The Foundation delivered festive food hampers to over 1,000 families across Sussex, Surrey, and Kent, ensuring that financial hardship wouldn’t rob them of a proper Christmas dinner. But perhaps even more magical was the personal touch: more than 3,000 children received the specific Christmas present they had asked Santa for, gifts chosen by the children themselves, carefully wrapped and delivered to bring genuine joy on Christmas morning.
These weren’t just any gifts or standard food parcels. Each hamper was thoughtfully assembled with all the trimmings needed for a traditional Christmas feast, whilst every child’s wish was personally fulfilled, restoring dignity and creating cherished memories for families during what can be an incredibly challenging time of year.
This July, as planning for Christmas 2026 begins in earnest, The Greenaway Foundation is determined to build upon this remarkable success. The goal is ambitious: to reach even more families and fulfil even more children’s wishes across the region, ensuring that no child wakes up disappointed on Christmas morning and no family sits down to an empty table.
The Power of Community Recognition
Receiving recognition from Agents Giving represents more than just an award, it demonstrates the property industry’s commitment to giving back to the communities where we live and work. This acknowledgement energises the entire team and volunteer network behind The Greenaway Foundation, validating the countless hours of dedication and the belief that together, we can make an extraordinary difference.
As we embark on this year’s Christmas campaign, we invite the community to join us once again. Whether through corporate sponsorship, volunteering time in Santa’s workshop, helping to pack and deliver hampers, or simply spreading the word, every contribution brings us closer to our goal. Last year proved what’s possible when a community rallies together. This year, let’s prove we can reach even higher.
The road from July to December is one paved with preparation, determination, and hope. With the wind of this recognition in our sails and the memory of last year’s success inspiring us forward, The Greenaway Foundation is ready to create more magic, restore more dignity, and bring Christmas joy to even more families across the Southeast who need it most.
