How to Get Involved:

Donation, Sponsorship, and Volunteering

Donate: Make a Child’s Wish Come True

Help Us Fulfil 4,000 Christmas Wishes

Every year, the Greenaway Foundation ensures children in need receive a Christmas gift they’ve requested, valued up to £25 each. Your donation helps make this possible.

How Your Donation Helps:

  • £25 – Fulfil one child’s Christmas wish.
  • £50 – Bring joy to two children.
  • £100 – Make four wishes come true.

Every donation counts, whether it’s one-off or regular, helping us support families throughout the year. Gift Aid: UK taxpayers can increase their donation by 25% at no extra cost. Just select Gift Aid when you donate.

Whatever you can give, your donation will make a difference.

Join Our Festive Team

Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Greenaway Foundation’s Christmas campaign. We need enthusiastic helpers from 9th–24th December to help with various tasks, including wrapping gifts, packing hampers, and delivering them to families.

Volunteer Roles:

  • Santa’s Helpers: Wrap Christmas gifts for children whose wishes have been granted (9th-22nd December). Children can help if accompanied by an adult (18+).
  • Elves: Pack and label food and gift hampers (23rd-24th December) and help load hampers into delivery vehicles on Christmas Eve. Elves need to be 16+ and able-bodied, as some tasks are physically demanding.
  • Reindeers: Deliver hampers and gifts to families on Christmas Eve (24th December). You must provide your own car/van.

Key Dates & Details:

Gift Wrapping:

9th–22nd December: Monday to Friday (11am–6pm) and Saturdays (11am–5pm) at “Santa’s Grotto” in Crawley – venue tbc.

Packing Hampers:

23rd December: 8am–3pm at Oriel High School. Elves will pack and prepare hampers.
24th December (Christmas Eve): 7am–12 noon. Elves will add fresh goods to hampers then help load these into reindeers’ “sleighs” for delivery.

Hamper Deliveries:

24th December: Starting at 9.30am. Reindeers will deliver hampers to families across Crawley, Horley, and East Grinstead. Each reindeer will deliver up to four hampers per trip and will be able to specify preferred areas. Deliveries should be finished by 11:30am, leaving you time to enjoy your own Christmas festivities!

We understand that availability will vary, but as the saying goes, many hands make light work. Any time you can give will make a difference to the families we support.
